Membrane keyboard - Standard technology

The 3 main types of constructions:

the flat keyboard: the simplest version with no tactile sensation, particularly ideal for applications which are very sensitive to impact and vibrations: precision balance...
the flat keyboard: heat sensitive (maximum operating temperature: 50°C); this solution means you can have a tactile sensation "on demand" (hardness, travel, key Ø from 7 mm);
the dome switch keyboard: our "best seller", the tactile sensation being obtained by pressing a metal dome (3 Ø available: 6, 9 and 12 mm as standard) and validated with more than 4 million actuations!

Customized

Every project is unique. PIM Industries gives you the choice of more than a dozen characteristics to define the solution most appropriate to your requirements:

tactile sensation or not;
SMD components (LED, resistors...) built-in or not;
diodes positioned directly under the key or offset;
silk-screen printed window, cut-out, inserted;
connections from 0.5 mm pitch to 2.54 mm pitch;
label guides incorporated;
electromagnetic and/or electrostatic shielding, independent or not;
dimensions, shape, colours, thickness...

PIM Industries also develops particular systems on request, such as linear potentiometers with built-in validation, touch-pad system, anti-security breach circuits, etc.
